Mixed pics

I’ve been taking a few shots over the last week, and finally got around to emptying my camera. Here are a few decent shots – but nothing grand.

Walk in the forest

I decided to work a bit more with composition, and try to see the composition lines! The lines! Oh yes, the lines of the world! Yay! The lines are awesome, and there are so many of them, and often I see too many of them, and focus on the wrong ones.

So a trip to the forest was definitely in order, and for once, my dog wasn’t the motive. No, it was trees. Wonderful trees! I love trees! If you change your white balance, they become green, you know? I may even think I have a hidden hippie inside me. I love trees that much! Okay, now I’m kidding, but I really do like trees.

Anyway, here are the trees.

Playing with plain images

It’s been a while since I’ve had some time to update the site, but finally I found a bit of time to play with some shots.

I though of a small exercise for myself to improve my composition skills, which I feel could use a great deal of improvement. So the challenge was to take some boring plain images, and try to get the best out of them – b/w of course.

They may look like ****, but it was a fun exercise none the less. :)

Seagulls!

The Catholics are a strange bunch. First of all they only believe in only one god, which is absolutely absurd. Secondly they also believe that when they die they go to heaven and become a flying being called an angel. But in fact they’ll become a seagull instead.
Some may think this is a mockery from The Gods, but in fact it is truly a marvellous gift.
Many philosophers from ancient time have agreed that seagulls are the luckiest beings in existence.
But for those who fail to see the obvious reasons, I will elaborate on this statement.

First of all seagulls can fly.
Secondly they find immense joy in garbage, which means that they always have plenty to eat.
Thirdly they have the ability to send huge load feces onto unsuspecting victims.
Mere humans may have problems understanding the joy in these three reasons. But imagine that you have been beheaded in a battle, and that you are now a seagull.
You are now flying near the place where you died, and you see the bloke that chopped of your head.
You then send a huge pile of joy onto his head, in which, he will actually think that it means good luck – that is until you do it again. Can you imagine the mindless joy!
And then you can fly off to your loved ones, after a tasty feast of garbage and rowdy fornication, and leave a friendly message on their window or doorstep.
Can you imagine a better afterlife!

Anyway, here are some shots I took of some divine Seagulls ^^

Another cool shot of the moon

I guess I’m good friends with the moon at the moment. Since I got another interesting shot of it… again. :)
It’s very cold outside, and the air is very misty and hazy. There were only some barely noticeable clouds in the sky. I guess the reason they were noticeable, was because of the bright moon light. It looked very interesting with the naked eye, so I took a few shots of it.

Here’s one of them :)

Pics from the beach

I was at the beach today. The sun was finally shining, and it was bright enough for me to take some action shots. It had been ages since I’ve last taken some high speed shots of my dog. I got a few good sh0ts.

Enjoy :)

Valentines Day

Oh damn it! The dreadful “Remember to buy flowers and chocolate day” -.-

Amazing moon yesterday!

Me and my girlfriend was at the beach, to give our dog a run for his money (he loves to run), when I suddenly discovered that the misty air had formed a large halo around the moon. Or is it vice versa? Anyway, due to the sun’s light which reflected on the moon. The “moonlight” then traveled through the misty air, and formed, from my perspective, a giant halo around it. So this is basically a giant moon rainbow. Neat huh? ;)

Well, enough with the bloody details. Once more my girlfriend groaned, as I danced around with glee, and set up my equipment. I hope you like the shot. :)

Website update!

UPDATE: 07/02/2011
I’ve added a few google ads to the site. Soon I’m going to get rich! MUHAHAHA… oh well, maybe not. :(

Still, I hope they won’t annoy you too much. :)

Website update!

UPDATE: 04/02/2011
I finally found some time to update my neglected website. It’s been a busy winter. But this week the site had a major overhaul, which was long overdue. Still, I hope you’ll enjoy the changes, instead of the clumsy Joomla system that I had before.
